This Grade II Listed Knitters Cottage, built around 1825, is one of the last surviving back-to-back cottages in Nottingham.
It was once home to families working in the framework knitting and lace industries of the 19th century. Typically, the whole family would be involved in the trade—men operating the large looms, women doing delicate embroidery, and children winding bobbins. Later, the cottage became a Victorian family home, and we were even visited by a great-nephew of the original owners. After being a rental for around forty years, we've thoughtfully refurbished it to offer boutique accommodation for your stay.
